SUSSEX TRAIL RUNNERS

ADVENTURE IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

WHO ARE SUSSEX TRAIL RUNNERS?

Sussex Trail Runners are a community of adventure-loving runners exploring the beautiful Sussex trails, from the South Downs to hidden local gems. We believe escaping the track and tarmac is far more rewarding than chasing a pace.

Our guided social runs are both fun and challenging, and we’re always on the lookout for new routes. Have a favorite trail to share? Let us know! There’s no better expert on local trails than a local.

If you’re a Sussex-based trail runner, joining us is easy. Just follow us on social media for the latest updates, and remember, all you need to bring is your smile.

See you on the trails!

WHEN & WHERE DO WE MEET?

We meet once a month at various trails around Sussex, including Brighton, Lewes, Arundel, and Eastbourne, often on the South Downs. All upcoming dates and routes are shared on social media. Our runs are typically 10-13 miles, with some challenging sections, but the views and experience are always worth it!

All social runs are organized through Let’s Do This, and we kindly ask that if you can’t make it, please update your booking so others can join.

Sussex Trail Runners is ideal for those who can run a minimum road pace of 12 min/mile (7:30 min/km) and are in good health. These runs aren’t races, but fun, shared adventures where we walk hills as needed and make sure no one is left behind.

Sussex Trail Runners are proud to support CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a charity dedicated to preventing suicide and promoting mental well-being. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to help CALM continue its vital work in offering life-saving services to those in crisis. By participating in trail runs, we not only raise funds but also awareness about the importance of mental health, especially in outdoor and physical activity settings.

Trail running is a great way to improve mental health. The combination of physical activity and being in nature reduces stress, boosts mood, and helps clear the mind. It encourages mindfulness, releases endorphins, and creates a supportive community where runners can connect and share experiences, all of which contribute to better mental well-being.
